I bought this because I had $20 in rewards points and that got it down to about $13. It works well and I like the indicator lights for each individual battery. 4 D cells and 4 indicators to display the progress...kind of like the cell phone battery charge/discharge bars. The web site states it is auto shutoff but it does not state that in the manual...only to unplug the charger when charging is complete. Can I assume it has shut off after charging? Probably not. It also states that it will charge C and D cells up to 2500 mAh. I have charged Tenergy D cells that hold a charge of 10,000 mAh. It took longer but worked fine. If I ruin it I won't attempt to return it.

Its worked well for several years and fits all our battery types. I like the auto-shut off and capacity. I was disappointed when it started smoking and the area where the power cord connects melted. Otherwise I would've given it a 5-star. I only reduced by 1 star, because we did get some pretty good use out of it. I'll see what happens with the replacement and how long it lasts.

Bouth this item for Christmas and it stopped working in January.
Charges nothing !!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a sound product. It does the job with recharging the batteries, and I found it easy to use. I purchased this for my family members as well, and they found it a great gift. You can recharge batteries a 100 times. Saves a bunch of money. Good investment.
